Residential Supports (including Individual and In-Home Supports)

The Assistant Support Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of one home that supports three to five adults with developmental disabilities.

  • Supports individuals in making choices to include taking risks and assuming as much responsibility as possible.
  • Implements agency philosophy in a manner consistent with individual’s needs and desires.
  • Encourages individuals in the development of relationships and community involvement.
  • Supports individuals in the completion of daily routine and maintaining health, safety, and personal well-being while optimizing independence.
  • Assumes role of Site Supervisor in the absence of the Support Coordinator.
  • Works with their team to ensure the home is safe, clean, and comfortable at all times.
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two or more years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities required.
  • Supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
  • MAP certification required or must become MAP certified within 6 months of hire.
  • Safety-Care certification required at some locations.
  • ASL near-native ability strongly preferred at some locations.
